Most Indian Head test patterns were literally discarded sometime in the mid to late Sixties. The original template was created by an artist only known as "Brooks" on August 23, 1938 for RCA (then based in Harrison, New Jersey). It was allegedly found in a dumpster by a salvage crew tasked with demolishing the RCA factory in 1970.
