Few contemporary bands have moved me to post about them (save perhaps a few Palm Leaf Fragments) but I felt compelled, as the day fades in hell-bound Los Angeles, to say a few words about one of the truly innovative bands creating music today: Thee Oh Sees.
Phenomenal.
The blending of John Dwyer and Brigid Dawson's vocals creates some kind of lurking third being -- a reverberating androgyne that spans the sonic chasms between understanding and indifference.
