Detroit: The New Frontier

"In a way, a strange, new American dream can be found here, amid the crumbling, semi-majestic ruins of a half-century’s industrial decline. The good news is that, almost magically, dreamers are already showing up."

In keeping with my bemusement (for lack of a better word) at having moved to one of the most economically depressed states in the Union, it was heartening to read about how such places (along with Detroit, Cleveland, and Baltimore) are shaping the new frontier for young, aspiring homeowners.
